The battery terminals are corroded. I tried to clean them but was unsuccessful.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Tracerjet remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed dead.  This was due to corroded battery terminals.  Replacement terminals were fitted which restored full functionality.  The terminals that were fitted were slightly smaller and therefore had to be hot glued into place.
