Customer's Fault Description
Remote and receiver not working properly. it only works if the remote is centimetres away from the receiver. usually works when just pointing the remote at the fire.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote was found not to be transmitting a signal on either channel. This was due to the usual problem of a faulty transducer in the handset itself.
A replacement ultrasonic transducer was fitted in the remote which restored full functionality.
