The Remote works intermittently you stand close to the battery compartment point the remote at it and press it not necessarily on a button and it will connect after a lot of pressing
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Truma remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be intermittent.  This was due to two issues, the first being a badly contaminated terminal, this was replaced.

The second issue was that the main PCB mounting pins were broken meaning the PCB would move around inside the control.

The PCB was glued into place which restored full functionality.
