Customer's Fault Description
I found some liquid in the remote by the batteries a few days ago. Replaced the batteries but now find that the remote stops responding as if run out of batteries. I have replaced batteries twice. Oddly if I take out one battery, put in a new one it then works. If I then put in the old one it still works but after a while it stops working again.
Remote Arrived safely, initial diagnosis shows a small amount of contamination inside the remote, in particular around the battery terminals connection to the PCB (See internal images below). This was cleaned up and alcohol bathed to ensure no contamination is left inside the PCB. Full funtionality has been restored and RF signals are now continually being transmitted.
It is advised to discard any batteries that were previously used in this remote in case of a battery leakage.
