Customer's Fault Description
The remote got wet with tap water and started to leak brown stain. I changed the battery but there is no signal.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on inspection the power buttons had decomposed conductive pads (see image), this means that when pressing the button no contact was happening on the PCB.  A replacement conductive pad was fitted into place which restored full functionality.  The water contamination was cleaned up from the battery compartment and a replacement CR 2025 battery was supplied fitted on return.
