Customer's Fault Description
Many non responsive buttons on remote including on /off, input selectors volume etc
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have many non functioning buttons.
When opened this was found to be due to a large amount of sticky liquid inside over the PCB and button array (see image).
The PCB and button array was cleared of all contaminants but many buttons still didn't respond or were sluggish, this was because the contamination had deteriorated the conductive pads on the buttons. Replacement conductive pads were glued into place on each button which restored full functionality.
