Customer's Fault Description
Returning 2 units, haven't used for a long time replaced batteries which looked a bit corroded with new ones but no joy
Remote Fixer Repair Response
These two remotes arrived safely and on testing both were confirmed to be dead.
On opening both were found to have suffered from battery leak damage. The first control had a bad terminal, a replacement was fitted which restored full functionality.
The second sadly was also found to have corrosion in the print caused by the battery acid, this has caused various open circuits and also has started to corrode the IC near the terminal. Due to the amount of damage a repair is not possible.
