Customer's Fault Description
The remote works fine, but the receiver only works turning the fire up. The down control does not work. The receiver light illuminates on the up function only. There are new batteries in both the remote and the receiver units.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing it was the remote control itself that was found to be at fault. Even though the light illuminated on the remote when both buttons were pressed no signal was present on the down channel.
This was due to a faulty 40khz crystal in the remote itself, a replacement crystal was fitted which restored full functionality.
No issue was found with the receiver.
