Customer's Fault Description
Remote had a leaking battery which seems to have affected the chip directly underneath the battery wires. Remote only turns the unit on and off and we now can’t adjust the temp, speed settings, or other features.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting on each button and the code was tested as correct.
Some of the pins on one side of the main IC had signs of creep / poor joints.
After talking with the customer it was decided to re-flow the joints in case it is the culprit. The oscillator was also replaced as this can sometimes cause issues.
