Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a damaged cable at the remote end, the cable was cut back and resoldered into place bypassing the damage.
There was a lot of carbon flakes inside the control over much of the PCB. This is from a previous repair attempt by a third party that had tried to replenish the worn buttons, this previous repairer had also marked the remote internally with silver stars.
This contamination was all cleaned and removed from the remote and replacement conductive pads were glued onto each button.
