Customer's Fault Description
Top button sticks so it does switch has fire on but it gets stuck so after the flames are on highest setting, it keeps clicking.

The bottom button should lower the flame from high to low and then off but it doesn't work at all. No lights come up on the gas fire receiver.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection the battery cable was broken and had signs of a battery leak.
The battery cable was replaced and then the down button was found not to be transmitting a signal.
This was due to a faulty 40khz oscillator, this was replaced which restored full functionality (see testing video). The top button cap was cleaned due to it sticking because of a sticky contamination around the plastic housing.
