Customer's Fault Description
This remote control works by radio frequency (according to the manual!). The fan speed buttons (H/M/L) and the fan OFF button work perfectly. The problem is the light on/off and dimmer switch - this has pretty well stopped working. With persistence, I can get the light to go on or off by pressing repeatedly until I get lucky, but this is getting more and more difficult and most of the time the button doesn't work. When working correctly, the light button should turn the light on/off with an instantaneous press and release, or control the dimmer function by holding the button for longer.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing there was a slight on a couple of the buttons, mostly on the light button.
All 5 buttons were replaced which restored full functionality (see testing video)
