Battery stuck inside
Remote Fixer Repair Response
THis remote arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was missing and the fixing screws were missing. The cover cannot be replaced as spares are not available.
On opening there was a battery confirmed to be stuck inside (see image). There was also a lot of crystallised acid inside the remote which had corroded through the print causing various open circuits, this made some buttons non responsive.
The terminals and print was cleaned up and the print reworked which restored full functionality.
