Customer's Fault Description
I dropped the remote and apiece of plastic dropped out in bits. I replaced it with a small piece of wood to keep the batteries in place but it only worked for one occasion and then stopped altogether.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection one of the terminals was found to be totally detached from the PCB.
The terminal was re-soldered back into place and then reinforced using hot melt glue due to broken mounting clips. The screen does flash when the IR signal is being transmitted but this does not effect functionality.
Full functionality was restored.
