Velux KLR100 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : The back of the remote doesn't fit as it looks like it was melted (before I bought the house!) but it was working just fine until I changed the batteries. Now some of the buttons aren't working but some are? Enough buttons are not working that I can't connect it to the skylight it matches with.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Velux remote arrived safely from Essex and the back cover was found to be badly damaged.  On testing some of the buttons were confirmed to be non responsive.  The button contacts were found to be contaminated, once cleaned up this restored full functionality.

A replacement back cover and battery cover was fitted as we had a spare.
