Customer's Fault Description
The handset and receiver are only working when inches apart.
They were working fine for a long time so I thought it was a battery problem. I changed the batteries in both the handheld and receiver. This did not correct the problem. I have read somewhere about using a reset button but our set does not seem to have a reset.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Mertik Maxitrol fire remote and receiver arrived safely from Dorset and on testing the remote was found not to be transmitting a signal. This was due to a faulty transducer in the handset. A replacement transducer was fitted which restored full functionality.
No issue was found with the receiver.
