It simply does not work - I have changed the batteries with no effect - if I look at the IR emitter with a mobile phone camera it does not appear to be transmitting and I suspect the led is not working. I have a spare remote and that works fine so there is no problem with the receiver in the control amplifier

Mertik maxitrol G6R-H4T16 Repair
The batteries drain really quickly, literally it turns the fire on once & then won’t work again, even 10 minutes later! . It keeps needing to be re-tuned to the gas fire each time it’s used. Then it works once & we go through the same thing again (new batteries, re-tune and then it works for one time)

The 'big' button has stopped working that controls the up and down of the door. Sometimes it doesnt open or shut the door. But then ramdomly it will open the door. I think its just the button on the PCB as the remote appears to work fine, when you can get the button to work.

Mertik Maxitrol G30 ZRRS Repair
The handset and receiver are only working when inches apart. They were working fine for a long time so I thought it was a battery problem. I changed the batteries in both the handheld and receiver. This did not correct the problem. I have read somewhere about using a reset button but our set does not seem to have a reset.
