Customer's Fault Description
The battery compartment has slipped and the cover to hold the battery in is not staying on anymore.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Westing remote arrived safely from London and on inspection the battery cover was missing its retaining clip (this cannot be replaced as spares are not available) and also the PCB was loose inside the controller.
This issue was caused by the mounting pin for the PCB breaking allowing the board to move out of position. The PCB was glued firmly into place which rectified the issue.
There was also some contamination over the PCB from moisture, this was all cleared using alcohol.
A Duracel battery will be supplied fitted on return.
