My Reich 527-0521 mover will not turn on. Despite fitting a new battery in the remote and the receiver having a new set of batteries, the remote is not sending out a signal the receiver is picking up. We have a spare remote and that works just fine. <br /><br /> This remote has seen better days - its been dropped on more than one occasion which has damaged the plastic shell, so we normally keep a couple of wraps of sellotape around it to stop the unit from coming apart - but - it has always worked until a couple of weeks ago, then nothing.

Paragon P4 Gas Fire Repair

The remote is not working. It doesn't appear to be sending out an IR signal. New batteries tried.

Handset appears to transmit OK. Control box receiver does not respond and will not send signal to gas valve to either open or close. LED light on receiver does not illuminate when receiving a signal from handset.
