Customer's Fault Description
Off & standby buttons temperamental, intermittent. Flame up and down appear to be ok.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Portway remote arrived safely from Amersham and on inspection was missing its battery cover, this cannot be replaced as spares are not available.
On testing the buttons were confirmed to be sluggish in response. All four buttons and the battery cable were replaced which restored full functionality.
