G PLAN RISER RECLINER Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : G PLAN

Model : RISER RECLINER

Customers Fault Description : LOOSE OR BROKEN CONECTION IN CABLE CLOSE TO PLUG .TRIED TO LOOK INSIDE PLUG BUT ALL SEALED UP. I THINK IT NEEDS CABLE REPLACING FROM HANDSET TO PLUG.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This G-Plan remote control arrived safely and on inspection the plug had physical damage to it but when carrying out a continuity test there was no fault fond with the cable itself.

Due to the damage after talking to the customer it was decided to replace the cable even though it may not have been the initial issue.

The cable was replaced with a straight cable (we cannot get the curly kind)

The buttons were then tested as ok.  The customer is to test the remote on return.
