LCD display works but does not connect to the fireplace. New batteries have been added to both remote and receiver. <br /> Display flashed 'off' (on remote) when trying to start the unit followed by F46 which indicates unit is not paired with the receiver (also other possible issues which have been eliminated).

The receiver is not responding to commands from the remote control. <br /> New batteries have been inserted in the remote control and the receiver is normally powered from a 6v transformer which has been checked as being ok. A pairing procedure has been performed but despite the above the received does still not respond to any of the remote commands
