Wharfedale Vista 100 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : the volume increase function doesn't work

This Wharfdale Sound bar remote control arrived safely from Worthing and on testing was confirmed to have a non responsive volume button. On opening the issue was found to be caused by contamination over the button array (see image). The PCB was cleared of all contaminants which restored full functionality.
Item returned UGTEE 2nd Feb and this time the down volume was non functioning, a replacement button cap was fitted on the down button which restored full functionality, it would appear that the contamination had started to corrode the contacts which eventually failed. Returned to Customer 3rd Feb 2023
