Customers Fault Description : Light visible in screen display, but only "hieroglyphic" letters. No response from fire when remote control buttons pressed.

This gas fireplace remote controller arrived safely from Germany and on teting was confirmed to have afaulty screen with garbled characters.
A replacement screen was fitted which restored full functionality.
