Remote Fixer Repair Response
This chair remote controller arrived safely from Hampshire and on inspection was found to have a visible damaged cable.
A continuity test was carried out on the cable and was found to be internally continuous, this meant that the damage to the cable would not cause the remote to not operate the chair.
The LEDs and Diodes were all tested as ok. A couple of the button contacts were found to be slightly higher in resistance than normal. Replacement conductive pads were glued into place under the main buttons.
A straight cable was then fitted due to the damage to the outer sleeve (we cannot get the curly kind)
