Purpleline Repair

When the remote was turned on by double pressing the on/off button, the LED light which normally displays on the remote did not illuminate. Battery was changed to new one, and the light came on briefly; the directional buttons were pressed to test, and the mover responded, but then one side continued to operate after the button was no longer pressed. The remote was turned off and the mover stopped, but remote will now not turn on again. (As an aside, when the remote initially did not work, I checked the battery connection, one of the wires to the battery was loose and I re-soldered this in). Hope you can help us as we had to cancel our caravan holiday over Easter- we need the mover to get the van off and on the drive. Thanks so much for any help you can give.
