Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Fire remote control arrived safely from Liverpool and on inspection the case was melted and warped.
On testing non of the buttons were responsive. The customer battery was foudn to be totally dead, when replaced the replacement battery was foudn to get very hot. This was due to a short circuit battery connector. A replacement connector was fitted which then restored full functionality.
A replacement case was fitted due to the warping of the customers case.
The customer will need to obtain a replacement battery on return, its important to not fit any battery that has previously been in this handset as they may well be drained due to the fault.
