Verine Zephyr Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Remote Control not sending signal to Control knob on Fire, Makes slow whirring sound but doesn't fully respond.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Remote Control & Signal Receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote was foudn to transmit as per normal on each button press.
The receiver unfortunately looks to have suffered a battery leak. One of the terminals has a tiny amount of contamination which means that a battery has broken down, when these receivers suffer a battery breakdown it can cause the receiver to respond to non normal signals. I.e. it can turn the heater on without intervention.
There was also a corrosion spot in the print of the receiver (see images). Once these items have suffered a leak we cannot work on them due to the danger they can impose.
