Customer's Fault Description
The remote isn't working at all. I think it's had rain and battery corrosion damage. Will sometimes show a blue light but doesn't work the awning at all. (I had the wind sensor on awning disabled some years ago so only need it to operate awning back and forth.)
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Electric awning remote controller arrived safely and on inspection was found to be missing its battery cover, this cannot be replaced as spares are not available.
On testing the remote was found to be dead. When the PCB was removed there was corrosion on the underside of the print from contamination (see image), once this was all cleared full functionality was restored.
