New battery put in but remote not turning on
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely from Froncysyllte and on testing was found to not respond to its double power button press.
On opening the ribbon connector for the button facia was found to have signs of contamination which caused corrosion spots in the connection, the cable was cut back by 1mm to bypass the corrosion, this restored full functionality and the item did power on with each double power button press.
