Customer's Fault Description
Thermostat no longer gives the correct reading on the display; it displays a hotter temperature than the room actually is eg stuck at 30c or higher therefore the combi thinks that the desired heating temperature has been reached and won’t turn the central heating on. Remote / Display works fine other than that.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Boiler remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to give an erroneous temperature reading.
This was due to a faulty thermocouple, a replacement was fitted which restored full functionality.
