Outer sheath breaking down

Recently having to use green reset button on plug/transformer frequently
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Handset for and adjustable bed arrived safely from Edinburgh and on inspection was found to have a very badly damaged cable and worn button contacts.
A replacement black straight cable was fitted (we cannot get the curly white kind) and then replacement conductive pads glued into place.
The two 9V PP3 batteries were low at less than 1v each, these will need to be replaced on return.
