The on button not engaging and possibly the off button as well.

Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Dimplex electric fire controller arrived safely from Midhurst and on inspecito nthe battery cover was held in position with tape.
On opening the battery terminals has signs of a slight battery leak. When tested though the remote was found to transmit on each button press as per normal operation. The rmeote was opened to check for defects but no issues could be found.
The controller was then tested over a 3 day period at random intervals and no fault could be replicated. The code being transmitted is confirmed to be correct at all times.
This item has been classed as no fault found.
