Customer's Fault Description
The fault is exactly as per the example on your website. The down button on the remote works fine. The up button appears to send the signal from the remote but the led on the receiver doesn't light up and the fire doesn't respond. Also, the 9v connector wire snapped at some point some time ago and has been repaired with Sellotape(!) so if it's possible to fix that properly at the same time that would be great! Finally, there is some corrosion on the battery contacts in the receiver. I have attempted to sand this off but not sure if you can do a better job?
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote and receiver arrived safely and on testing the remote was found to be functioning as per normal but sadly the receiver has suffered a major battery leak, due to the damage a repair is not possible to the receiver.
The battery cable in the remote has been patched by the customer but it is working (i can replace the battery cable but it would be chargeable and a replacement receiver would still be required.
A google search was carried out and a replacement receiver can be found here - https://ebay.us/OwQS1T - Please contact the seller for further details.
