Customer's Fault Description
I have a Hormann garage door.
I have two remotes. One works fine. The other had also been working fine but then suddenly stopped working. I thought it must be the battery and so I changed it for a new one. Unfortunately it still doesn't work. The remote has a red light when I press the button but it doesn't seem to make contact with the opening mechanism.
My remote model is Hormann HSE2-868 CE 0682.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Garage remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting a strong RF signal on both button presses.
The controller was then tested randomly over a few days with no fault being replicated.
It is thought that it may be either a battery issue or a pairing issue. I will leave a Duracell battery inside the remote on return to eliminate a customer battery issue.
