Mertik Maxitrol Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Mertik Maxitrol

Customers Fault Description : Remote comes on with a nee battery, but the batter indicator will show half full and then quickly go down to 1 bar and flash as if it needs replacing. Remote was working even with this issue until a few days ago when now it has stopped communicating with the fireplace receiver. Remote still powers on though.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Fire Place Remote G6R-H4T16-DN arrived safely from London and on inspection the case was melted on one side, replacement cases are not available as spares.

On testing the voltage indicator was showing an erroneous reading.  This waws due to a faulty regulator, the regulator and battery cable were replaced which restored full functionality.
