Customer's Fault Description
New battery installed but only works intermittently and at VERY short range. My other remote now works as it should.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Garage Door remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have a very weak signal and also the button was temperamental.  The button and oscillator was replaced and then the aerial resoldered.

This restored full functionality (see image)
