Sony RMF-TX300U Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Sony
Model : RMF-TX300U
Customers Fault Description : It simply stopped working, even with fresh AA batteries. No buttons seem to be stuck, but it was not responding to commands lately without trying over and over again to press the same button "TV", "Home", "Back", etc. Now it simply doesn't work anymore. It's definitely not the TV, because I borrowed a friend's Sony remote and it worked well with my TV, so it's definitely a remote issue. I don't like the replacement remotes. I prefer the OEM remote and they are no longer available here in the States, and remote repair companies don't seem to exist here. If you can repair this one, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote control arrived safely from the United States and on testing was found to have many non functioning buttons.
On opening this was found to be due to a large amount of sticky liquid over much of the PCB and button array (see image).
The PCB and button array were cleared of all contaminants. Full functionality was restored.
