Customers Fault Description : Likely problem with a broken wire - according to gas engineer

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Gas Fire inset to fireplace remote control arrived safely and on inspection was missing its battery cable.  The old battery clip was found detached inside the remote.

A replacement cable and clip was fitted which restored full functionality.
