Velux Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Velux
Customers Fault Description : Buttons have stopped working completely I can’t open or close the blind. I think batteries may have corroded in the compartment
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Velux Blind remote control arrived safely and on isnpection weas missing its batery cover (this cannot be replaced as spare covers are not available).
On testing the remote was dead.
This was due to decomposing button contacts which had contaminated the PCB (see image). The PCB was cleared of all contaminants and then the button contacts cut off and replaced.
This restored full functionality.
