Outer cable protection worn and parting from remote and internal wires

This recliner remote control arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a damaged cable.
On opening the button contacts were "slightly" worn, replacement conductive pads were glued under all buttons as a precaution. The cable was then replaced wit ha straight cable (we cannot get the curly kind). The rest of the remote was tested as ok.
