Golfstream DV.8 Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Golfstream
Model : DV.8
Customers Fault Description : Appears to be a replacement for the Powakaddy remote supplied for a RobboKaddy. Circuit board is getting power, but the led doesn’t illuminate when buttons are pressed. A bit of ‘fiddling’ with the + and R button simultaneously managed to get life out of the led, but the don’t function independently (let alone all other buttons)
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Golf trolley remote arrived safely and on testing was confi8rmed to have a faulty button array. The array was peeled apart and reworked which restored full functionality.
The battery cable was also replaced as it was damaged. There were also a few suspect solder joints on the main IC, the solder was reflowed as a precaution.
