This is one of 2 remotes - you have just repaired one ( job RF22383-20 It ceased to work a few years ago - always had Duracell battery and has a new one in now ! None of the buttons make the light show
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Sun awning remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.

When opened there was corrosion over much of the PCB. The buttons were removed and the print reworked then the button replaced with new ones.   When re-tested the remote then was found to respond to all buttons with a strong RF signal being present.
