The battery ‘-‘ contact has eroded. Also the display does not always display correctly.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Window remote arrived safely and on inspection was dead because of a corroded terminal. The terminal was replaced which restored power but the display was blank, once a replacement display was fitted full functionality was restored.
