Customer's Fault Description
Looks to me like the IR LED is not transmitting (when viewing via my phone's camera). The battery contacts look clean and the buttons are not physically damaged. But, when pressing any of the 4 buttons. nothing appears to happen...
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Dimplex remote control arrived safely and on testing was cofnrmed to be dead.
The IR LED and Oscillator was replaced but sadly the remote remained dead. This was due to the main ic being at fault, this IC is encased under black resin which makes a repair not possible.
