Customer's Fault Description
Whole unit seems to have stopped working on both preamp and CD. Have changed batteries but made no difference
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Kairn pre amp remote control arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting all the time without any button being pressed.
On opening there was a small amount of contamination found (see image) this was shorting out one of the button contacts. Once this was cleaned away full functionality was restored.
Please note that any batteries that were inserted into this remote will most likely be dead due to its permanent transmitting.
