Customer's Fault Description
The remote control is broken from the inside. The battery is relatively new and should work.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Cooker Hood JLBIOS634 Remote Control arrived safely and on testing was dead. When opened both battery terminals were found to be deformed (one was broken away from the PCB). This happens when the battery is inserted upsides down.
The terminals were reworked which restored full functionality (See image).
A Duracell battery well be supplied fitted on return, it is important to ensure that when it is time to replace the battery to fit the battery correctly or the terminals will deform again.
