Customers Fault Description : De remote fall down on the ground. Nog the remote doesn't go on.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Gas fire remote control arrived safely from the Netherlands and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

The remote was opened and the terminals had signs of a battery leak.  The was also a SMD component that had broken away from the PCB.  The component was replaced and then the terminal cleaned.  Full functionality was restored.
