Charlton and Jenrick Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Charlton and Jenrick

Customers Fault Description : Not working - off button and standby button. These need to be pressed at the same time to ignite the flame. Not working - reduce and increase flame button. At the moment to get the fire to turn on we have to switch the blue tooth off at the electricity supple, wait 30 seconds and then push the two buttons simultaneously. However this takes a lot of moving the remote around to get a signal before the fire ignites. We have to repeat this process each time.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This fire remote control arrived safely and on inspection the top frosted cover has a hole in it and the retaining clip for the battery cover is loose.  These are held in place with tape.  Unfortunately, these cannot be replaced as spares are not available and they don't affect functionality.

On testing the button response was erratic.  This was due to worn button contacts.  Replacement conductive pads were glued into place which restored full functionality.
