Customer's Fault Description
Several attempts to light fire with remote failed, the lcd indicated low battery. I removed the PP9 battery but the negative lead had become detached.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Gas fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was dead due to a damaged battery lead. This was replaced which the showed the other voltage regulator fault showing a low battery.

The voltage regulator was replaced which restored full functionality.
